This retreat is perfect for those who have just come through a period of prolonged stress and are looking to reflect, recuperate, and rejuvenate (and of course have a lot of fun!). The retreat is led by Dr. Rami Nijjar, who will be integrating mindfulness, reflective writing, and cognitive behavioural stress reduction techniques. Participants will also have two yoga classes a day, aimed at reducing anxiety and letting go of stress. They will also have ample free time to enjoy all that Ilhabela has to offer.
Rami Nijjar is a clinical psychologist and sex therapist who specializes in stress reduction and self compassion. Alongside her clinical practice she participates in ongoing yoga and meditation training in order to better understand how the body and mind experience stress and how we can best work with our suffering.
Ilhabela is the largest island off the coast of Brazil, located halfway between São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Here you will be able to enjoy the beautiful tropical beaches, waterfalls and a thriving downtown with shops, restaurants and bars.
